Well, this time, I braved the weekend crowds – and let me tell you, Tamukkam Ground was absolutely buzzing! Well, this time, I braved the weekend crowds – and let me tell you, Tamukkam Ground was absolutely buzzing! From the moment I arrived, the energy was palpable, with folks streaming in, eager to see what was on offer. Parking was available near the staff entrance, which was a definite plus.

Now, a little tip for you: the ticket counters were quite busy, especially with the weekend rush. It's ₹15 for adults and ₹10 for the little ones to get in. Definitely worth it for the experience!

Once inside, it was a treasure trove of sights and sounds. Rows of shops lined the pathways, showcasing everything from dazzling bangles and delicate bracelets to trendy hair clips, earrings, and pretty chains. Of course, there was plenty to catch the eye of the younger crowd too! I even spotted a shop with intricate mehndi stencils – perfect for adding a touch of traditional flair.

But the real star of the show for bargain hunters (like yours truly!) was the ₹10 shop. Now, don't let the name fool you – while there were definitely items priced at a steal of ₹10, they also had a range of goodies at ₹20, ₹50, ₹70, and ₹100. It was a delightful mix of household essentials and fun trinkets for kids. Honestly, navigating through the enthusiastic crowd to get a good look at everything was a bit of a mission, so I couldn't quite capture all the price details, but trust me, there were some great finds!
